Altra’s Vanish Tempo running shoe differs from previous models with its geometrically designed foot shape, which fits more snugly while also providing plenty of room in the toe box. This new shape is engineered to propel the foot forward with efficient toe-off without interfering with one’s natural stride. Unlike typical running shoes, the Vanish Tempo has a 0-millimeter heel-to-toe drop but does boast an impressive stack height of 33 millimeters.
These shoes feature a rubber outsole and high-level cushioning due to the Altra EGO PRO along the midsole, which provides a solid cushion-to-weight ratio. The breathable mesh upper is met with mixed reviews. Many appreciate its breathability and roominess however, there are several who question its durability. It comes with a very steep price tag, so the expectation is that the Tempo should support a lot of miles.
