Product Summary

The Roobox is like a traditional plyo box and softbox in one. It is your standard 30 inches x 24 inches x 20 inches, but its unique design is made to take the fear out of box jumps. The box is made from 0.75-inch plywood with rounded edges made from slightly compressible closed cell molded foam rubber. According to reviews, the foam rubber is like that of a bumper plate. It will soften the blow to the shin from a missed jump and will likely not cause you to bleed unlike a traditional box.

Typically, doing box jumps to softboxes does not offer stability, however you can feel confident when jumping to the roobox because of its stability. It is made out of 0.75-inch plywood, and the internal framework supports the side panels and locks the foam corners in place. Unlike the traditional plyo box or softbox, the Roobox has a total of four cutout handles, two on each side, making it easy to move around.

It ships flat and comes with everything you need to assemble it. Roobox claims it takes approximately 15 minutes to assemble, but based on reviews, expect it to take anywhere from 20-45 minutes. Although it does come with the tools you need to assemble it, some reviews say to use a drill for quick and easier assembly. A drill with a hex bit made it easier for holes to line up properly whereas using the hand tools made it hard for the holes to match up. Once the Roobox is assembled, it is safe to say that it is nicely built and will protect you and your shins during box jump workouts.
